A 1968 left hand drive Jaguar E-Type series 1 4.2 roadster is to be stretched by four and a half inches during a major restoration being carried out by Classic Motor Cars Limited of Bridgnorth (CMC) in the United Kingdom.Paul Branstad is the man who believes in this philosophy of what is known as Kaizen in Japan. It means to make continuous improvements till the end product is perfect in all aspects. Paul has opted to follow this philosophy with Jaguar E- type car and is on his way to produce the world’s first every stretched version of the Jaguar E-type named the Kaizen. Paul elaborates that the stretched version will be somewhere between Series I and the line of autos that were manufactures after merger and origin of British Leyland.So what changes will make this beautiful vehicle look even prettier and more stretched in reality? First of all, the car will get a direct stretch of about 11 cms right in the middle of floorpan. After that the roofline of the supercar will be elevated by about 3 cms followed by lowering of the boot floor by a whisker leaving more than enough space for fuel tank. Apart from the alterations that will lead to the stretched look; the car will also get few other cherry toppings. It will get good rage of updates by Classic Motor Cars Limited of Bridgnorth that comprise new brakes, 5-speed gearbox, new-age suspension, handling components, and a lot more increasing engine’s bhps by a significant figure.
